Recital Le Havre Conservatoire, France, 2008

In March 2008 two members of the society Iain and Cora visited Le Havre Conservatoire to run a short workshop teaching and demonstrating Scottish piping and then to finish up giving a small recital on Highland pipes, Scottish Smallpipes & Borderpipes.

The Principal was very impressed and many friends were made and since then members have returned to teach and take part in local festivals.

Fest yves 2010, Le Havre

A few members of the band were lucky enough to be invited to

Le Havre this year to play a small part in a Breton festival. We were very well looked after and made many friends, hopefully we will return next year with more members and possibly perform a few tunes with Bagad Avel vor and maybe even have them come across here to the UK.

Tartan Day France 2009

The band attended Tartan Day in France in April. Many of the band members have attended this weekend before and as usual we got a warm welcome and were very well looked after. As usual we make more friends each year and this year was no exception with us being joined at the end by Andrew MacFarlane who we hope will play with us from the start next year.

Many of the band have performed at this festival over the years and it's always a great day out.

This was our first public performance as a society.
